Chloe at Week 26

These are few shots taken by my dear gynae two days ago. She was caught yawning in pic #1. It was so cute to see her yawning act live in action on the screen!

Chloe is now weighing at about 990gram. And me, 1kg weight gain for 2 weeks (the slightest of all the time!) I think i'm a bit stressed lately due to work. Now that i have to remind myself everytime i lose control, "Take it easy!" "It's only work!"

Pregnancy Journal

Just created a new set for my pregnancy journey at my flickr account. If you don't mind checking out my auntie-looking shots, please be my guests!

Then perhaps you could tell me where did all the extra kilos go to? 0_o

The Slow Down Culture

I read one interesting article about Slow Down Culture yesterday. Though source unknown, I'd like to share some good points from the article.
  • It is a culture with no-rush attitude which encourages people to do things with greater quality, productivity, perfection, with attention to details and less stress
  • In another word, it is to reestablish family values, friends and leisure time
  • It has been practiced in the European countries such as France, Germany and Sweden
  • There's even this movement called Slow Food. As opposed to Fast Food, it encourages people to eat and drink slowly, with enough time to taste their food, spend time with the family, friends, without rushing
  • Applied to work context, this culture means less coercive work environment, more happy, lighter and more productive where employees enjoy doing what they know best how to do
So now is the question: How many organization in Singapore actually appreciate and practice the idea? How many Singaporeans are aware that we need to slow down a bit once in a while?

My company recently organized an employee climate survey to improve the working environment. Few remarkable questions asked were:
  • Has the work quality been compromised to meet the quantity and deadline?
  • Has the job allow sufficient time to socialize with friends and family?

It is HOW you choose to live the moment...

Both hubby and I have been going on walk in the weekdays evening. (Yeah that's the evidence of our walk last night!) It's part of my pre-labour exercise, his keep fit attempts. An hour walk around the neighbourhood area, grocery shopping. It's kinda nice to leave the car in its parking lot, abandon the mobile phone at home and spend quality time strolling and sharing. This might not be an ideal romantic way to spend the night away. By the time we reach home, we take a shower, do some reading and hit the sack at 10pm...

"Many of us live our lives running behind time, but we only reach it when we die of a heart attack or in a car accident rushing to be on time. Others are so anxious of living the future that they forget to live the present, which is the only time that truly exists. We all have equal time throughout the world. No one has more or less. The difference lies in how each one of us does with our time. We need to live each moment."

Chloe at 24th week 2nd day

These were some shots of my baby taken last Saturday, at her 24W02D. She is now weighing at 650 g. Yeah that means I've put another few kg this month. To be exact, 3 kg this round :( and total pregnancy weight gain has been about 11 kg!!
"Hey, as long as baby and mummy are healthy, let's not worry too much about the extra fat that I've been putting on.. "

Seen below close up of Chloe's feature (use ur imagination to figure her head, eyes, little nose and lips!)

This one was a little covered by her tiny little hand :) She was waving at us i bet!

And her little feet... :)

Aaron back in action

Just saw the newspaper this morning about Aaron Kwok's Live in Singapore on Sept 1st, 2007. Being a number one fan since many many many years ago... it's really a pity to miss this upcoming one! You can judge me being bias, but having watched him perform on stage is one hell of experience(s)!! True performer, true idol!

As i do my count down, I'd be in my 32nd week by then. There's no way i could be in the National Stadium cheering/supporting/yelling for him :P For others that could be there, please support him for me! Or send some regards on my behalf too :)
