Amused

As I was on the train heading to work, a kind lady offered me her 'priority' seat. "Good to know there's someone who is still willing to give up seat," I thought.

Then as I was alighting, a kind ah ma asked me to get her seat too since she's alighting.

Thinking not to embarrass them by 'seeing' wrongly, I thanked her and told her it's my stop as well.

If I haven't lost 2 kg since the sick episodes, I'd probably get more seat offer :p I must work harder to sweat the excess off. And that's only a 3-kg away!!

But new year is approaching, hmmm...

En Jie Visits (11.01.10)

It was barely 2 months from their last playdate, Bosco and En Jie are now 2 active boys in the house. Well, almost..

En Jie has started to crawl, Bosco is turning 360º on his tummy.

林家三宝贝

I'm very amused by how I could knock off earlier than Chloe and in total deep sleep from 9pm last night. I always introduce myself as the lightest sleeper in the family, "oh, a little bit of noise can wake me up easily.. blah blah blah", but this encounter last night was pretty funny (sorry to the husband!)

Hubby was working late last night and forgot to bring the key along. So he texted and called my mobile a few times to make sure I'd open the door for him around 10pm. Apparently I didn't hear anything. Then he proceeded to call the house phone – which has really loud ringing tone, and again... I didn't feel a thing.

When he told me about it this morning, I was like..."Huh? Serious??"
Then I tried to recall back, yea, I didn't open the door for him. The helper did!

He then said, "Yeah, I came home to see 林家三宝贝 snoring in the room..."

hehehe.. must be too worn out by waking up a few times this week~~

Am just so glad that the kids are back to their cheeky selves again.

Happy 3rd year anniversary my dear! It seems like a seventh or eighth year together already. I guess it's because every moment spent is precious moment!

Drained

It has been an exhausting weekend for me.

It all started from Thursday where I was not feeling well at work. Came home to see the doc and given 2 days mc. Body chilled and ached the whole afternoon. Good thing was I managed to nap while Chloe and Bosco were still with their granny. Only picked them up during dinner and both greeted me in their own level of cheekiness.

Came back home, trying to change Bosco and put him to sleep. Effort wasted cos he was more energetic and awake than me. The husband came home just in time to save me! He took my temperature and it was 40 deg C. I went to bed around 8.30 leaving the kids to the husband. He did a really good job! :)

Next morning, I woke up feeling so much better. Fever's gone, but body was still aching. Wanted to plant kisses on the three of them, then I heard Chloe coughing with thick phlegm. Checked on her and her body was hot! Sigh..

Mum in law offered to bring Chloe to the doc and babysit her for the day so that I could rest. Aww... But that afternoon I didn't have a chance to rest at all, because Bosco started to cough too. My poor boy~~

That night, Bosco couldn't sleep well. He coughed and wailed. Coughed and wailed. So heartpain to see my 5 months old that way. The next morning, we brought him to the PD.

As a mother, I haven't been so busy and exhausted like last Saturday. Bosco would throw up some milk when he coughed. He became this super cranky baby that needs to be carried all the time. He got worse when close to bedtime. All the crying and shouting must have caused his tummy upset. I don't know how I survived that night.

Thankfully the fever and cough subsided on Sunday. It was my first tough lesson to have two sick babies at home. Twice the heartpain, twice the attention.

Now the three of us are still recovering from the stubborn cough. Hopefully this coming weekend we could all go out and have fun. Through this episode I learn to appreciate people even more. I'm so thankful to have a supportive husband, very helpful inlaws and friends!

A pleasant start to the year 2010 – we soared up high into the air!

It was a great treat from the husband's company. He got a day off from work and free tickets to the Singapore Flyer. *weee*

Nice! Even Bosco can't find any reason not to cheer :)


What made the experience even greater,
was that we got a whole capsule by ourselves!

All thanks to Bosco, cos we told the friendly staff that
I needed to breastfeed my hungry baby during the ride.

All Things Pretty Weekend

On the first Sunday of 2010, we headed down to red dot museum to give our hearty support to Rachel. It's Our Carousel Pre-Offical sales which launched pretty handmade clips for the kiddos (and the mummies too!). Also selling was Dolly Deer gorgeous handmade accessories.

Now I can't wait to grow Chloe's hair longer for the beautiful clips and I never leave the house without my pretty ear studs from Dolly Deer! ;)

From Fake Smile To Teethy Smile

New Year Resolution

Met up with a dear girl friend today. It's been some time since we last chatted. I asked what's her 2010 resolution is.

Instead of the cliche answer of 'slimming down' (this is actually one of my wish!) or 'making more money' that too many people wish for, she replied genuienely that she hopes to have time catching up with her good friends.

That's the easiest resolution i think, yet many of us can't achieve it. How long ago since you last called up an old friend to ask how he/she's been?

How long have you not make yourself available to catch up with an old buddy? Even I can't give myself a good explanation on this.

To think that i'm so shallow of wishing to slim down, to become a sahm with no action taken! *shakes head*

It has given me a wake up call. This is the least effort needed, just an SMS or a call away! Get your fingers moving... Catch up with the friends on your contact list!

Truly thanking Mich for coming to visit me and the kids today :) From this, I know I'm on your 'worthwhile-friends' list too! Hugs!!
