It was a good start to the new year. Following Chloe's schooling journey, little Bosco is such a good boy entering the class with no fuss. I'm really a lucky mama!
Chloe's first enrichment course went well too as she really enjoys herself every Sunday. What I always told the children when I dropped them at school was, "Enjoy yourselves!" So they took our advices well :)
Nearby short trip with Andy was a fruitful one as well. I'm not sure for him, but I certainly gathered and rekindled some dating moments.
2 weeks into 2013, I here wish everyone of us to be in the pink of health, happy true self, every quality day spent with the loved ones, and doing the things we love.
Let the good things blossom.
Spread the love!
xoxo

Love.. Found | BKK July 2012
Had the whole day to shop on my own, when hub was busy with his work

Spent almost the whole day at central world (most favourite!)

Random cuteness at a DIY shop

Huggable bear display, and brands mix at Uniqlo

Bidding goodbye over a hot bowl of tom yum,

while the poor hub had to continue to work in the next 3 days.
Flying back alone, with a 18.8kg shopping goodness :)

Bangkok... Please fly me there again soon!

Coffee Beans By Dao | BKK July 2012
Probably the best food find during our July Bangkok trip — Coffee Beans By Dao.

Vegetarian Spring Roll

*favourite* Minced-meat in Unique Wrap and refreshing sauce

Seafood Salad

Pad Thai

White Chocolate Cheese Cake, yummier than it looks

Strawberry Cheese Cake and Caramel Macchiato

Posing at its Ekamai branch

End Note: Husband tried the Singapore branch at Wisma Atria,
and verdict was: very far from the one in Bangkok!

Finding Love in BKK | July 2012
This post may not serve as the holiday guide for Bangkok, as most of you probably know better places and food to go. Thanks to a bunch of the mummies gang on fb, and tips from Andy's colleagues, we had enjoyable time in this short getaway :)
Checking-in at Grand Mercure Fortune Bangkok, we explored Central Plaza, which is directly opposite the hotel on that afternoon.
Took a cab to Platinum Fashion Mall to witness the shops after shops of wholesales heaven. Sadly, I couldn't find anything my size x.x . Got a few sets of children clothes and the street food satisfied our other side of craving :p
Some sort of chicken/shrimp meatballs right outside Platinum — yummeh!

We carried our night adventure to the Chinatown to hunt for the famous seafood stall. Nevertheless, we had a bowl of bird's nest goodness each as our appetizer.

Then, we found the red / green rivals seafood stalls — too obvious to miss! Both stalls were mad-packed. But the red-stall waiter was really friendly to hold us and find seats for us.

Contented husband waiting for food to be served :)

Thumbs-up for the grilled and fried seafood + the hot chilli. However, steamed fish and noodle were a bit bland. Overall, the squeezy-hot dining experience was still a great experience. Definitely would love to go back for this.

Random balloon seller at Chinatown.

Happy Anniversary, Love!
6 years since we registered our marriage. Happy Anniversary, Love!
Took MC today to see the dentist for my troubled tooth, which has been giving me headaches. Stepped out of the dental clinic, with 1 less tooth. And the dentist advised that I would most likely need to extract the wisdom tooth which sat next to this one.
Feeling sad, this was my 3rd tooth extracted in the past 3 years... I hope I'm not going toothless too soon. I want to grow old with my Love beautifully, with teeth!!
Teeth aside, I'm enjoying a nice ride in the bus to my next medical check-up. It's nice, cos I get to update the blog. It's ain't so nice when I actually hopped on to the wrong bus and have to re-route the way. Adventurous day, isn't it?
Just like finding the direction in life. When you are lost or found yourself in the middle of nowhere, keep your calm, stay your cool, ask, re-route, move back on track and go!
All I wanna say is, thank you for always showing me the direction, and walking the way with me. Love you baby!

P. S. I Love You
Ended a sweet weekend with yummy love by the man. He was posed by a request by his daughter to cook 'Mother's Day Moodle' for me.
Chloe's request just came in time. I knew he won't do it if I asked him directly :p
So the 'moodle' warmth the stomach and the heart. Then we spent good family time a lil while with the kids, before he let me choose a movie to watch tonight.
Alright, so I decided to play 'P.S. I Love You' which has never been watched before. I heard it was really romantic show with lots of lovey dovey stuff..
The movie ended up making me crying in almost every scene. It was touching and heartbreaking at the same time. Lesson learnt from the movie is to cherish every moment, every single moment with your loved ones, and to live your life to the fullest like there's no tomorrow.
P.S. Go watch it if you haven't done so, and you would understand how I feel now..
And here's to a better us, better each and everyday! Cheers...
*Last added: Just recalled Chloe said something funny on Mother's day as well. Andy asked Chloe if she had to choose her most favourite love, rather than answering love both Papa and Mama. Chloe gave an answer, "I love Mama most, because today is Mother's Day!"
ah my sweet daughter :)

I'm A Happy Woman!
The second time I worked past midnight in this week, and darn, the coffee I had after dinner kept me awake at this hour.I spent the last 20 minutes writing thank you email to the team, and I must pen down my thoughts further here.
This last week of 2011 has been a really satisfying week at work. Working closely with the editors to meeting 2 packages of MOE submissions, felt really good! The thankful gazes and smiles from them were simply genuine.
And then, there was another tender job which got LZ and I worked hand-in-hand for the first time. As weird as it sounds, being colleagues with her for so many years but this is actually our first 'partnership' project. And hey, the chemistry was good! Hope the final product would secure the tender!
Anyway,... last year, I hoped for a successful team building in 2011. I actually failed terribly in the first half of the year. Those were the most stressful time in my working life – I lost weight, I had shingles, stomach flus.. yikes!!
I am a really lucky woman who always have the love from my family to pull through the tough period. By starting all over again, I gained my colleagues' trust, friendship and supports like never before. I enjoyed the special bonding with my teammates, my coordinators, my interns, my freelancers and my editors.
I'm happy cos of the tough job I have, I learn to appreciate the people around me even more.
I'm happy cos I have the most understanding and loving husband who woken me up to reality and made me faced and solved my own problems! Thank you for never giving up on me, dear!
I'm happy I have in-laws who always offer extra help and take good care of the kids.
I'm happy and very very proud of my 2 kids!
I'm happy I made more friends than before.
I'm happy I have friends who are always there for me, be it a simple rant, moral boost, or a playdate!
Overall, 2011 has been a challenging yet fruitful year for me. I hope it has been a good and memorable one for you too!
Here's wishing everybody a better and brighter year 2012!
xoxo

An Easy First Night
Cruise Day 1 | 18.09.2011 PM
The cruise started off soon after the kids slept, around 4:30pm

Best time to sneak out with the husband to get some quick bites at The Blue Lagoon. And man, this kampong fried wings were really tasty!!

Camwhoring..

And more..

Later when Chloe woke up, she went to the pool with Papa and Bosco stayed in with me as he was having slight fever. Quick washing up following up, so that we could zoom out to have our dinner at the Pavillion. However, it was fully booked so we had to dine Chinese cuisine at Bella Vista.
Pairing up, so each one takes care of one kid

The food was quite a let down on that night...

It was an early night for the kids after Bosco poo-ed and smell real bad! Haa!!

Cruising Thru Time
A little hiatus since the last post.. My weekdays nights had been spent doing house chores and nothing but house chores. And it made me realize the freak in me. I bet the husband was a little annoyed by my persistence in cleaning up the house. Sorryyyyy....
Now with all things aside, I'm in a very settled mood to blog about tomorrow, or rather, later in the day... We are going away on a little vacation, yep it'll be just the four of us. What makes this special, it's as what the husband call it, the rekindled honeymoon.
Flash back 4 years ago, Andy and I went on a cruise holiday, as our 'honeymoon', right after my first trimester, together with both our parents and Kelly along.... Now u know why this time will be special!! :) So stories been shared to Chloe that she was in my tummy back then, and this trip will actually be her second. I wonder if she really understands...?
Anyway, some of the photos back then...

01.06.2011
They say with age, along comes wisdom. I couldn't agree more with dear husband's exceptional TLC recently. It was our 5th ROM anniversary and work was damn shitty. Then I received lovely surprise from Andy delivered to the office. I think at that very moment, my whole world stopped. Trying very much to control that tears from falling down, I called my man to thank him.

At the same time, I felt sorry for myself. Sorry for drowning myself with piles and piles of work. Sorry for not able to leave home early for the family. It was a real wake-up call... So, with love and support from the family, I re-evaluated the family and work balance. Nothing else matters more than the family.
With growing love and wisdom *ahem*, I'm sure we can overcome this.

An Early Date

We woke up as early as 5:50 this morning to beat the Monday rush. We reached his work place before 7am.
Then we took a stroll down to Bugis Guan Ying Temple for morning prayer. The streets were tranquil. The people were peaceful. Non rushing. Non chasing.
Right after that, it was breakfast at the nearby hawker center. The kopi strong fragrance was exactly what I've been missing for. None of the 3-in-1 mixture or the high-end coffee house could ever replace.
After breakfast, Andy walked me to the bus stop. And we parted with a goodbye kiss when my bus arrived.
This early moment certainly kicked off a great start to the working week.
I love you, dear!

Feasting With The Seetos Again
The Lims and The Seetos met again 2 days ago here in Singapore, before they flew back to their countries. We sought for mum's help again to babysit Chloe and Bosco for catching up with our lovely guests.
Andy and I left work on-the-dot and went down to meet them at Somerset.
This was the view from their balcony at 28th floor..

There were 15 of us that night, we then proceeded to Long Beach@Dempsey for the famous chili crab. Thumbs up for the splendid seafood and services.
It has been such a great pleasure catching up with the Seetos. Great food coupled with silly jokes and lovely chat. Truly awesome!

On the road for the wedding day ceremony

With the newly wed, Roger and Rita

Last few drinks before the end of the trip!
Poor husband who had to endure back pain for the whole trip

Getting back home, at the quiet Kuching airport
