The Longest Coach Ride With Babies In Tow

I thought spending 6 hr on the coach ride to Genting was the longest it could take. I was wrong! We actually spent 7.5 hr coach ride this time! zzz...

Few hours after the BBQ gathering, we dragged ourselves up to leave for Genting. It's an impromptu trip booked by the inlaws to pamper the little ones namely Kelly, Chloe and Bosco.

Thankfully both Chloe and Bosco behaved well during the journey.

Chloe slept most of the time (thanks to Jayden who accompanied her til late the night before!) And Bosco was happy, alert and observative!

And yes, we survived a 7.5 hour long coach ride with babies in tow!! *wee*

Before We Say Goodbye To Genting

Chloe's Birthday Trip Day 3, 17th Oct 2008

After done packing in the morning, Chloe and I were the only two left in the room. Everybody else is busy trying to win more money in the casino! hee

So the little girl got a little bored and pestered me to bring her out. I was ready except for the part where I must travel with her in the stroller, descending the escalator. I've just never done it on my own.

I must really give it a try, I thought. The few training with hubby for the last 2 days should result in something. So off we went, strolling around the vicinity. From Genting Hotel...

... moving down to the bridge extending to First World Plaza.. Yeah! I made it! :)

There we were at First World indoor theme park once again.

Chloe turned grumpy after watching the rides for some time... She must be angry of Mama why didn't I let her take those rides.

The lonely stroll was soon over after hubby joined us.

And Chloe was fast asleep after her morning milk, at just the right time to enjoy some quiet moment with hubby. Phew~~

That summed up our 2 nights stay at Genting before we travel on to KL...

Sweet Treat For My Sweetie

Chloe's Birthday Trip Day 2, 16th Oct 2008

While Chloe was having her afternoon nap in the hotel room, I sneaked out to find some sweet treat for her. Stopped at this bakery shop at Genting hotel lobby. Wide variety of bakery, pastry, cakes and so on... A must try is their sandwich. Mix and match 2 fillings as you wish for RM19! Yummy!

Anyway, I bought this cupcake for her from the bakery shop and we all sang the birthday song again for her...

Kelly fighting for some share of the cupcake too! hee

After which, I tried to spend some quiet time alone with Chloe at the hotel room, while hubby went to the casino..

I spent time cuddling and kissing her, to reminisce the memory of hugging my newborn baby exactly a year ago... (Yes I know I'm lame..)

But I was bullied by this big baby instead!

We ended that night by going for dinner at the Chinese Restaurant. Chloe went back to sleep soon after dinner. She must be tired after a day at the theme park.

From Singapore To Genting Highlands

Chloe's Birthday Trip Day 1, 15th Oct 2008

Chloe had 爷爷, 奶奶, 大姑妈 and Kelly 姐姐's accompany for her birthday trip. 7 of us took the morning coach direct to Genting. It was a darn long 6 hour ride. We had to pass Chloe among us to entertain this over-excited baby.

Sleepy Chloe posing with her favourite baby Piglet, and her dearest Papa.

Upon reaching Genting Hotel about 1pm.
One of the-very-few-family-portraits we took during the trip.

And we were only able to get our keys at 3pm! Quite a let down!

Chloe finally took a proper nap after the long wait.
I had to take a shot of her sleeping before she turned 1!

Our first evening was spent strolling around at First World Plaza. We enjoyed our fried chicken dinner at Marrybrown, while Chloe was still stoning and yawning away after her nap.

Another evidence that she didn't have enough sleep; she allowed me to put on that sunglasses without any attempt to remove it away.

We checked out the indoor theme park minimum height requirements! She passed none of them :P

More pictures while strolling...

Posing in front of Doraemon banner which she pulled down a second later...

Chloe stayed awake throughout the ride despite being sleepy. It must be the bright lights, music and indoor rides that keep her so curious! Chloe was soon knocked out after a warm milk feed at the hotel room, around 10pm.

I stayed til 11pm to digest my supper, pig's trotter in vinegar! Exceptionally delicious during a cold weather like that. Mmm....
