Chloe giggles

Chloe has started to laugh out loud for a week now. Few things that make her burst into laughter are:
1. Holding her right upwards and let her stand on my laps.
2. Tickle her with lots of love and kisses on her cheek enhance the quality of the sound. Ha ha!
3. Carry her to our bedroom and show her our wedding picture on the wall.
4. Do funny crappy sounds to stimulate her.
5. Plus this, looking herself at the mirror!

Happy Chloe Go Lucky!!

That's our Chloe during the housewarming, 27th Jan 2008.

Life on our own

Moving house is certainly not an easy task. First the reno works, then the stuff packing, comes the transport to move those barang-barang. The official/auspicious move-in day, the tidying and cleaning up. The housewarming. The wrapping up of reno works by the contractor (I bet now he is at my house rectifying some final faulties and malfunctions.)

A week after moved into our own place, these are the after-effects scenarios:
- Boxes and luggages still unpacked, squashed inside the store room
- Unorganized housewarming gifts left on the floor, inside the 3rd room
- New letters, receipts, documents are all over the places
- Laundry undone

I certainly need more time to clean up and adjust. New house, new routine, new schedule for us and also baby Chloe. With Chinese New Year around the corner, I need a miracle again.

Despite all, I am glad we finally made it. A house, a home by ourselves.

The wait is finally over!

In less than 24-hour-time, I'll have hubby back in my arms :) Finally he's coming home tomorrow after a looonggg 3 weeks overseas post. Good thing I've been busy with our renovation work that time seems to pass real fast.

Also tomorrow would be a so-called handover! Our contractor is tidying up and tieing all lose ends tomorrow. Come Thursday 24th Jan we're officially moving in to our home sweet home. I took another week off to clean up the house too. Mum and I have managed to clean up 3 rooms and furniture in the afternoon. Wanted to clean up the kitchen cabinet too in the evening, but mum seems tired. I feel guilty.. >.<

A quick outline of tomorrow's schedule:
- Cousin coming in to install Internet points at all rooms
- Installation of curtains
- Final clearance and touching-up by contractor
- Mum and I to further clean up and unpack the stuff to the wardrobe
- Big welcome-home hug to lao-gong!!!

Yepee!!

20 Jan 2008 = 1st Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday was our 1st wedding anniversary. Sadly, hubby wasn't around to celebrate due to work commitment. I'm lucky to have Chloe and my mum's company though.. Mum has been a great helper in these 2 weeks, taking care of Chloe, packing and moving my stuff to the new house. (Check out the stuff we have managed to move into the house on Saturday! It actually took 3 car trips to carry those stuff!)

First thing in the morning, we went Mandarin Oriental Hotel to visit Sri. It was her wedding on the 19th. I couldn't attend her big celebration as I had to receive my furniture and electrical appliances on the same day. I seek for her understanding and paid her a visit, before she left for her honeymoon. She was beautiful! :)

Right after that, Mum, Chloe and I did some shopping in Marina Square and Suntec. Hm... technically Chloe was sleeping in her pram, or in the sling. It was my first attempt bringing Chloe out in a pram, without the help of hubby.

I'm missing hubby a lot..

Back at work!

The year 2008 marks a new chapter in my life. After 38 weeks of pregnancy journey and 3 months spent at home with Chloe, I'm now officially back at work. I must say I enjoy every single bit being a mum. Watching her grow day by day, observe and learn so much stuff makes me a proud mum :)

Though a few challenges faced in the beginning, such as not understanding her crying patterns; waking up in the midnites; her hernia condition; latching and burping problems, I'm glad that I've overcome those stages.

Only wish I have now is to be able to spend more time with Chloe. As for the coming months, we would expect to see more developments such as to turn and stay on her tummy, able to raise her head up, roll and crawl!!

At the moment, her only skill is able to turn sideway, and her pastime favourite: enjoying her very own Chicken Wing!

Oh I miss her MUCH!!
