MMR Jab

Chloe had her MMR vaccine this morning. Her height and weight is now 80.5 cm and 10.8 kg, hence concluding on 90% growth percentile. And I can't shake off what the nurse said to us, "Your baby is at her maximum growth..."

side note...
Not knowing MMR jab was given at the arm, i dressed Chloe in long sleeve romper this morning. Hoping that the nurse could poke at her leg easily.. well, well...

The B Words

Last week, Chloe learned to call "Bho4" to address both of her aunts.
"Ah-Bho" is 姑姑 in Hainanese.

Yesterday, Chloe surprised me and hubby by saying "Bao4"
while opening her arms wanting to be carried.

I'm impressed, because none of us actually 'taught' her to say "Bao".
In fact we're trying to teach her "Xie Xie 谢谢" at the moment.

No luck so far.

Chloe and Jasper: Fun and Sharing

I'm so thankful that Sabrina and Jasper came to accompany me and Chloe on Saturday! Chloe enjoyed herself a lot. She must have missed playing with friends her age, no thanks to my morning sickness and fatigue.

If you notice, Chloe got a new zig zag hair do by her 奶奶 on Friday. Sigh... just when I thought I could start buying pretty hairclips for her...

Anyway, both kids warmed up faster than ever, and could actually sit down together and play now.. Such a sweet moment to watch as parents. Chloe certainly needs a sibling soon to learn the essence of sharing :)

ps. She's very 卖鱼 (sell-fish) at times!

Pictures to share:

Yes baby! Share baby!! :)

Happy Birthday Darling!

It's hubby's birthday today! But... poor thing has to spend his birthday alone at Cambodia right now. He was still trying to hide his hoarse voice and cough, when I called him this morning. Reminds me on the trip he made to Papua New Guinea 2 years back when he kept the truth from me, that he had to go for diarrhea jab in the middle of the night! Hmph!!

Anyway, as much as I'd want to celebrate his Big 30 today, I gave him my 100% assurance and support to never get distracted while on overseas trip. "I'm handling Chloe well these few days. I have friends' company and in-laws' support too. Most importantly, we can have a belated celebration next weekend when you're back."

Love my darling a lot! :*

Boy Or Girl?

Plain sleepy at work and decided to try out this interactive test from http://www.childbirth.org on the gender verdict of baby no. 2... (some points have been taken out due to uncertainties to the questions)

Verdicts that it's a boy...
  • You are carrying the extra weight out front, so it's a boy.
  • The maternal grandmother has gray hair, so a boy will be born.
  • You didn't have morning sickness early in pregnancy, so it will be a boy.
  • Your chest development has not been very dramatic during pregnancy. You should expect a boy.
  • Since the sum of the mother's age at conception and the number of the month of conception is even, it will be a boy.
  • You have a craving for salty or sour foods, which means that it is a boy.
  • You have no desire for orange juice, so it's a boy.

Verdicts that it's a girl...
  • Your feet are not colder than they were before pregnancy. You are having a girl.
  • Dad-to-be hasn't been gaining weight along with Mom-to-be, so it will be a girl.
  • You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread. You are having a girl.
  • You are not looking particularly good during pregnancy. Therefore, it must be a girl, because girls steal their mother's looks.
  • Your urine is a dull yellow color, so you will have a girl.
  • Your nose hasn't changed during pregnancy, which indicates a girl.
  • You have been craving fruits, so it is a girl.
  • You are not having headaches, so it's a girl.
  • You use the body of the mug, so it's a girl.

Well, truth will only be revealed in another 2 months' time :)

Flash and Fleshy

Oops.. 还好没露点!

ps. Yesterday night was easy on us to put Chloe to bed, and she even slept through the night.
Thanks everyone for the concerns :)
