Chloe and Eason

We had short reunion with D&C who flew in from Su Zhuo, China on Saturday. We used to hang out in big groups to have dinner, drinks and karaoke. Those were the days.. Now as parents, there's no better place to catch up than inviting them over to our place :)

This way, our babies could spend more time together too. Baby Eason is exactly 2 weeks younger than Chloe. Pretty boy isn't he?

Chloe: "I like your shoes, Eason!"

Chloe: "My Mama hasn't bought me any shoes leh.."

Chloe: "I'd really love to own one pair soon..."

Chloe: "Eh..look there, our parents are taking our pictures!"

Eason: "Errr.. Chloe, i think the camera is in front of us lah..."

Chloe: "Oh, oops, so pai seh.." *blush*

Eason: "Don't worry lah, I won't tell other people!"
Chloe: "You better not...!"

see how Chloe touched Eason's leg~~

Standing With Support

The Ambitious Papa is back in action! He is now diligently aiding Chloe to stand and hopefully walk soon! What do I got to say? "One step at a time, baby!"

Chloe and Caitlin

It was great to visit Pat and family this afternoon. Chloe hasn't seen cousin Caitlin for more than 6 months! Caitlin is 13 mths and she's walking now. Wow! :)

Some 'warming up' photos:

"Er.. Harlow... I'm Chloe here..."

"Shy shy leh.... Jiejie so quiet and guai guai..."

Few minutes later, Chloe was already grabbing jiejie's clothes and toys! :P

"Auntie Pat, thanks for the early birthday present!
And also the walker! I'm loving them :D"

Porridge I Make...

I'm glad that i succeeded in cooking porridge for Chloe today. Yeah! I'm just happy that it's well-steamed with right amount of water, and not turning into rice like the past few times...

On top of that, I'm happy with the combination I prepared for her too. It's Brocolli and wolfberries porridge.

It tastes good, Chloe loves it! *proud*

I've got evidences okay.. don't play play...

See how excited she was to see the porridge!!

If that's not enough, what about this close-up look?? :)

Alright darling, Mama loves you muacks muacks!

Welcome Home!!

ATCHUNG!

Too many people have commented Chloe looks exactly like Papa. Now she's 8mths, the comments are, "looking even more like daddy..." I'm giving up, for the moment. There's no more lookalike posts for temporary. I shall try again when she turns 1 year old.

But seriously, is there any contest out there, looking for the most lookalike father and daughter?? Let me know if you come across. I certainly don't mind some nice hampers or free diapers!!! :)

Ah.. This Long Hair of MIne

"It's so difficult to tame my hair.."

"Ah.. Much better now!"

Emotionally Right

These 2 weeks, Chloe has emotionally developed a lot. She:
  • prefers a few family members than the rest (that's me first, hubby second)
  • occasionally choose to be carried by others who look prepped and ready to go out gai gai
  • bounces happily when we bring her to the main door
  • screams when we walk back in to the house
  • crawls to me and tries to get every attention she can when she wakes up
  • smiles and greets me when i open my eyes
  • makes a lot of 'Eh', 'Oh', 'Uh' and babbling sounds if i go back to sleep
  • recognizes Barney and the famous 'I Love You' song
  • responds a lot to us
  • sits quietly when i ask her to wait
  • makes some sound once she's waited too long
  • smiles, laughs, giggles louder when happy
  • screams, wails, cries louder too when upset
Overall, she's sweeter and we're happier.
Bliss.

Beautiful Thoughts

Don't compare yourself with anyone in this world,
If you do, you are insulting yourself.

Easy is to judge the mistake of others,
Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes.
It is easier to protect your feet with slippers,
than to cover the earth with carpet.

No one can go back and change a bad beginning;
But anyone can start now and create a succesful ending.

If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it.
If a problem cannot be solved, what is the use of worrying?

If you miss an opportunity, don't fill the eyes with tears,
It will hide another better opportunity in front of you.

'Changing the Face' can change nothing,
But 'Facing the Change' can change everything.

Mistakes are painful when they happen.
But years later collection of mistakes is called experience,
which leads to success.

Be bold when you lose, and be calm when you win.

Heated gold becomes ornament.
Beaten copper becomes wires.
Depleted stone becomes statue.
So the more pain you get in life you become more valuable.

Corny No More

2 days MC allow me to have the privilege of an SAHM. It is certainly not an easy task. Salute to all the SAHM out there!

Apart from recuperating from my blocked nose, sore throat and cough... I am at the same time:
  • taking care of Chloe (bathing, rocking, feeding, playing, soothing, talking, singing, dancing!)
  • doing the laundry
  • sweeping and mopping the floor
  • going to the IL's for meals (that's to and fro with Chloe in my bjorn)
  • blogging
  • chatting
  • and exploring new food for Chloe
*****

On menu these 2 days are corn! Mummies in forum shared that their babies love their corn, so i thought i should try preparing it for Chloe too.... I bought 2 packs of 2 corns from the market. 1 for her, 1 for me for 2 days :)

Day 1
After steaming the corn, i enthusiastically tried to sieve it... for 5 mins. I gave up.. boy it was so difficult to sieve.

Nothing came out, so i surrendered to the blender. I thought since i would feed it together with her porridge, i might as well blend everything in.

Smooth-blended corn, carrot, spinach porridge...

Wrong! I forgot about the layer of skin from the corn! Poor Chloe had difficulties in swallowing the 'smooth' porridge.... !!

Bad mummy...

Day 2
I thought i was smarter this round, I blended ONLY the corn first. But it didn't come out smoothly either... Feeling a bit disappointed, i had to trust my muscles again to try sieving the blended-corn. Did it sound too complex?

See the results of one sieved, blended-corn... (open your eyes for the yellow tone!)

That's it! No more corn! I give up... -__-
Let's stick to apple, pear, plum, avocado, papaya, brocolli, etc etc.. Anything but corn!

*yawn*
Long days without hubby around... I'm missing him already...

Oh, now i remember i haven't eaten my steamed corn....

Good nite!

Is She Teething?

Is this lip another sign of teething? Upper teeth popping out?

Or simply some lip-smacking actions?
